 Poetry Lyrics, Words...

And the ribbons she tore, the flowers she burnt
For all the candles that were sold at night
She crept deeper in the sofa, wrapped in herself
Looking for comfort and a little peace
But behind those green eyes nobody lived anymore
Everything she took was black and deceitful
For the cloth that laid buried beneath
Her voice was like crystal under water
Muffled but cutting through everything
In the room of a thousand memories
At the lost doors that were black as the night
Flying across the windows, dreaming the wind
She swept away all that was once whole
Lit the candles and the incense
Burning the room down, her eyes flickered softly
Green eyes looking for someone, something
Tearing up the veil of reality as she dreamt of death
